Medvedev arrives in Spain for an official visit

Both Zapatero and Medvedev want Spain and Russia to be strategic partners (well, we can say safely that Putin wants it too) in several areas such as energy (which would mean Spain would buy their energy, as it looks like that Russia has a special plan to monopolise the access of energy to Europe), tourism (more Russian mobsters undoubtedly: the South of Spain, specially Málaga is full of them), infrastructures and transports.

The official meeting between Medvedev and Zapatero will take place tomorrow in Moncloa’s Palace (Official residence of the Spanish PM), where they are going to sign an “Statement of strategic association”. They will also analyse measures to fight economic crisis, possibilities of commercial relations and other bilateral matters, international political situation, energetic situation, UN reform, relationship between NATO and Russia and also between the latter and EU, regarding the next Spanish presidency.

No, Zapatero is not a fool, he is a bad person with totalitarian views (he defines himself as a “red, utopian, feminist and who has learned nothing from the right”. He is also an egotist and an egocentric, that is, he is marvellous while the rest are nothing but fools.

No, you understood it, and your comment about him is right on the money. I was just being “cute”, especially considering the gang he’s running with. You know Zapatero better than I do, but I will be really surprised if he outfoxes these two Russians. Putin didn’t get to where he was by being a good guy. He was a secret police officer in the world’s first communist country, and then he worked his way up in Russian politics. Is Zapatero slick enough to top that?

No, I don’t think he can slick them. Just as Hillary has not slicked Lavrov. Check this:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton opened her first extended talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov by giving him a present meant to symbolize the Obama administration’s vow to “press the reset button” on U.S.-Russia relations.
She handed a palm-sized box wrapped with a bow. Lavrov opened it and pulled out the gift: a red button on a black base with a Russian word peregruzka printed on top.
“We worked hard to get the right Russian word. Do you think we got it?” Clinton asked.
“You got it wrong,” Lavrov said.
Instead of “reset,” Lavrov said the word on the box meant “overcharge.”
Clinton and Lavrov laughed.

We worked hard to get the right Russian word. I thought they have to work hard on behalf of the American people, not to get Russian word.

PS: I know it’s only the word in the box but if I went to an important meeting as this was, after the famous Obama’s letter, I would have worried about the content of the meeting, not about the present (by the way, it could have been something truly American as music or films).
