You can read these news in The News International and Nasdaq.com:

Far-right Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders lost a legal bid Wednesday to stop his pending trial for inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims.

“The attorney general is of the opinion that there are no grounds” for a further appeal, the Dutch Supreme Court said in a statement.

Lawyers for Wilders had sought to overturn a ruling by the Amsterdam Court of Appeals in January that he should be prosecuted for a series of public anti- Muslim statements, particularly for comparing Islam to Nazism.

Well, this is nothing that we can consider as surprising. But anyway it something truly interesting that they want this to go to trial. Mr. Wilders has stated:

“I am being prosecuted for saying about Islam what millions of Dutch think. Freedom of expression is at risk of being offered at the altar of Islam.”

The real reason (at least for me) of this trial is that he considers Islam as equal to Nazism. Whatever our special ideas on the subject, this process is judging the personal idea of someone about an ideology/religion. Of course, I count with a just trial (consider me an optimist), in which he can express his own reasons about this. But I don’t know if, being realistic, we can count with that just trial. I fear he is going to be fried.

Just notice that he is labelled as “far-right” everywhere you read about him. Even if he has no link with Nazi parties, with actual far-right parties, etc etc.

NOTE: I really can’t blog often now. I am truly busy, I am sorry for this but life is like it is. Thanks to you all for your interest.

Geert Wilders’ party would win the elections, if they were held today, according to the polls via Bivouac.

Imagine that he wins the elections, will he be prevented from entering other countries, as happened in UK? What would happen with the process began against him in the Netherlands?

The Home Secretary came under fire last night for allowing a radical Lebanese propagandist with links to the extremist group Hezbollah to enter Britain for a national speaking tour.

The Conservatives urged Jacqui Smith to ban Ibrahim Moussawi from the UK, warning that he was “likely to foment extremism or promote violence”.

Mr Moussawi edits Hezbollah’s newspaper and is former political editor of the Iranian-backed group’s television station, which is banned in many countries including France, Spain and the U.S. where its output is seen as anti-Semitic.

He was recently barred from entering Ireland, where he was due to speak at anti-war meetings.

He is scheduled to appear at an event in London tonight organised by the Stop the War Coalition, with more events planned around the country over the coming week.

via Atlas Shrugs: BRITAIN BANS WILDERS BUT WELCOMES ISLAMIC EXTREMIST.

Melanie Phillips writes at The Spectator:

the Communities Secretary Hazel Blears delivered a major speech on the subject which, far from presaging a change in strategy, was a defence of the status quo. (…She) explained that the problem was not just al Qaeda but also people who did not support violence but the ‘political Islamisms’ whose extremist ideas helped promote that violence. So what was she going to do about them – the ‘political Islamists’ — was what we now needed to know.

But she didn’t tell us. Instead, she retreated to the old comfort zone of the ‘moderate majority’ and the need to engage with and encourage the mainstream Muslim community so that violence would not take further root there.

(Afterwards) she appeared to be saying that the mainstream Muslim communities with whom the government was having all this dialogue actually had ‘extremist’ views. So while earlier she had been talking about the importance of engaging with moderates, now she seemed to be talking about the importance of engaging with extremists. And as she said, I do indeed think that such ‘engagement’ is ‘endorsement’;  more importantly, truly moderate Muslims think so too and have repeatedly begged the government not to engage with extremists in the community because it emboldens them and undermines true moderates .

Yet with groups which display

an equivocal attitude on core values such as democracy, freedom of speech or respect towards women,

there would be ‘ limited engagement’. Did that include the Muslim Brothers, or Hizb ut Tahrir, or other groups who want to Islamise Britain? Because ‘engagement’ with such people is the current strategy, and the result is that radicalisation of Britain’s Muslims is going through the roof while the government is seen to cave into the threat of violence and dance to their tune. Witness, for example, the banning of the Dutch anti-Islamist politician Geert Wilders, who threatens no-one, while according to the Centre for Social Cohesion the Hezbollah spokesman Dr Ibrahim el-Moussaoui is to be allowed into the country to teach a course on political Islam at the School of Oriental and African studies – a course apparently aimed at educating Government officials and the police.

So this guy, actually an extremer who has been chief political editor of a terrorist group’s TV is going to give a course to educate Government officials and the police. :^)

Why is that, Mr Corbett? Is a Hizbullah propagandist more dangerous than Mr. Wilders?

The editor and publisher of an Indian newspaper have been arrested in Calcutta for “hurting the religious feelings” of Muslims.

Ravidra Kumar, editor of The Statesman, and the paper’s publisher, Anand Sinha, were both arrested after police received complaints that the top English-language Indian daily reprinted an article from the February 5th edition of The British Independent.

The article, entitled “Why should I respect these oppressive religions?” discussed the diminishing of the right to criticize religion.

Journalist Johann Hari, noted for his secularist views, writes that “a coalition of Islamist tyrants, led by Saudi Arabia… issued an alternative Islamic Declaration of Human Rights. It insisted that you can only speak within ‘the limits set by the Shariah [law]. It is not permitted to spread falsehood or disseminate that which involves encouraging abomination or forsaking the Islamic community.’”

via Winds of Babylon: Indian Editor and Publisher Arrested for Criticism of Islam.

This is article, thanks to BCF:

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights stated 60 years ago that “a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief is the highest aspiration of the common people”. It was a Magna Carta for mankind – and loathed by every human rights abuser on earth. Today, the Chinese dictatorship calls it “Western”, Robert Mugabe calls it “colonialist”, and Dick Cheney calls it “outdated”. The countries of the world have chronically failed to meet it – but the document has been held up by the United Nations as the ultimate standard against which to check ourselves. Until now.

Starting in 1999, a coalition of Islamist tyrants, led by Saudi Arabia, demanded the rules be rewritten. The demand for everyone to be able to think and speak freely failed to “respect” the “unique sensitivities” of the religious, they decided – so they issued an alternative Islamic Declaration of Human Rights. It insisted that you can only speak within “the limits set by the shariah [law]. It is not permitted to spread falsehood or disseminate that which involves encouraging abomination or forsaking the Islamic community”.

In other words, you can say anything you like, as long as it precisely what the reactionary mullahs tell you to say. The declaration makes it clear there is no equality for women, gays, non-Muslims, or apostates. It has been backed by the Vatican and a bevy of Christian fundamentalists (who are of course, putting on suicide vests or beheading those who do not want to convert… :P ).

Incredibly, they are succeeding.

Wow… the truth hurts, doesn’t it? And yes, they are suceeding. Normal people are not doing anything to stop this. So the writer of the article is now appalled by the reaction of his article… although he stands by what he wrote. Anyway, he discredits himself absolutely by writing this:

If, after all the discussion and all the facts about how contradictory and periodically vile their ‘holy’ texts are, religious people still choose fanatical faith, I passionately defend their right to articulate it. Free speech is for the stupid and the wicked and the wrong — whether it is fanatics or the racist Geert Wilders — just as much as for the rational and the right. All I say is that they do not have the right to force it on other people or silence the other side. In this respect, Wilders resembles the Islamists he professes to despise: he wants to ban the Koran. Fine. Let him make his argument. He discredits himself by speaking such ugly nonsense.

Wilders wants to ban the Koram because in the Netherlands ALL books which support hate are banished (remember Mein Kampf? It is banned in the Netherlands). So why some are and the Koram (which calls for the unbelievers killing and it’s trully judeophobe) isn’t? But hey, it’s much better to judge before one has read about the guy, isn’t it?

With such defenders of free speech, we are going down the drain… :(

The right-wing Dutch politician banned from visiting the UK over his anti-Islam views has been refused entry after arriving at Heathrow airport this afternoon.

Geert Wilders was presented with a letter that refused him entry to Britain after arriving at immigration.

After leaving the aircraft, Mr Wilders was taken into a side room to be interviewed, witnesses said.

via Dutch MP banned from Britain over anti-Islam film is refused entry after arriving at Heathrow | Mail Online. via The Jawa Report.

Welcome to Britanistan… What a bunch of cowards.

I remind you of the poll that I have here in this website about your opinions on this subject.

Also Lord Ahmed, the one who first spoke against Fitna being viewed in British Parliament and later menaced with bringing 10.000 Muslims to prevent Wilders to enter the Parliament, has signed a letter with other extremist Muslims:

Lord Nazir Ahmed of Rotherham has joined forces with leading UK-based Islamists, including Mohammed Ali Harrath, convicted in absentia by a Tunisian court of terrorism-related offences, and Mohammed Sawalha, described in a US court as a former “Hamas leader in the West Bank”, says the Centre for Social Cohesion.

Hmm… and this one criticizes Wilders for being an “extremist who insults his religion”… Is this a joke?

Sadly, it isn’t… :( As Rob posted some days ago, this is not the first intelectual critical of Islam who is prevented to attend something to “prevent unrest” in the UK:

This would be in itself an absolutely unbelievable story. Yet, since I couldn’t say that I’ve never seen anything like this in our old, decadent Europe, I must admit that this is practically the rule, not the exception. Take the case, for example, of commentator and author Douglas Murray, who was due to chair “Islam or Liberalism: Which is the Way Forward?” at the London School of Economics on January 23, but the LSE asked him not to attend in the interest of “public safety” as his presence could provoke unrest … How sad!

The only difference I can see is that Wilders is an MP elected in other EU state, so this measure is even more striking… And I would say, that it has been deliberately taken to humiliate him.

(By the way, where is Mr. Cameron? Has he said something about this?).

Geert Wilders has a new website in English, where he has already posted about these news:

Wilders has denouced the British Government as “the biggest bunch of cowards in Europe. They are more Chamberlain than Churchill.I was invited by another politician (Lord Pearson of Rannoch). I am a democrat, I am serving freedom of speech. They are not only being nasty to me they are being nasty to freedom of speech.”

They have also a link so you can help Geert Wilders’ party, which is under pressure after Wilders has been accused of insulting Muslims because of Fitna.

Mark Steyn points out another example of a man who was jet into the UK:

You cannot accept the rule of the kaffir. We have to rule ourselves and we have to rule the others… King, Queen, House of Commons: if you accept it, you are a part of it. If you don’t accept it, you have to dismantle it. So you being a Muslim, you have to fix a target. From that White House to this Black House, we know we have to dismantle it. Muslims must grow in strength, then take over… You are in a situation in which you have to live like a state-within-a-state – until you take over.

Bivouac has this video:

David Miliband: “I haven’t seen the film”. So how can it say that it stirs “racial and religious hatred”? This man is soooooo idiot…..

Instapundit points out: If his supporters were more violent, this wouldn’t have happened.

IHT: Britain refuses entry to Dutch lawmaker.

Telegraph: Dutch MP Geert Wilders deported after flying to Britain to show anti-Islamic film.

Times on Line: Anti-Islamist politician Geert Wilders refused entry to Britain.

Center for Security Policy: An Open Letter to the Government of the UK:

The International Free Press Society believes this court-ordered prosecution against Geert Wilders, a central figure in the fight against the Islamization of the West, amounts to a dangerous concession to the strictures of Islamic law, which prohibits all criticism of Islam, over Western traditions of, and rights to robust and unfettered debate. As such, it is tantamount to a surrender to totalitarian influences that undermine all Western freedoms. And as such, it must be resisted.

The same can be applied to this shameful deportation of Wilders from the UK.

Smooth Stone:

Of course, according to the British cowards who came up with this decision, there are no Islamic jihadists in the UK who are trying to stir up religious hatred. Oh no, only Wilders is doing that.

Irony, that’s the best thing to combat these fools… :P

Diane West:

The UK ban-on-Wilders debacle has morphed into diplomatic “row” coverage of the ministerial back-and-forth between the Netherlands and the UK. Thankfully, the Netherlands government is strongly backing Wilders. (And, in order to think positive, I won’t even add “so far.”) On the side of the British angels (there still seem to be some) still upholding their invitation to Wilders, we have Lord Pearson and Baronness Cox, both Independence Party peers in the House of Lords. But look who’s vocally supporting the British government ban? Dear old Lord Ahmed–the same Lord Ahmed, who, as the London Sun reports today, recently invited an al-Qaeda-linked former detainee into Parliament.

You can see FITNA here (I can’t embed the video in this blog). Attention: the video contains hard images such as beheadings.

Each fortnight I will be posting a poll on a very important subject. I am interested in knowing what the results are. And I believe all of you are going to be interested too.

This fortnight’s poll will be on Geert Wilders’ declaration of persona non grata in the UK:

[polldaddy poll="1359477"]

I will add a link in the right sidebar for you to vote on it. Thanks.

Last news on the subject are that he is still travelling to UK tomorrow (with some people thinking he won’t be jailed but that he will be denied entry) and that there are Dutch MPs who have supported his banning:

The film has nothing to do with freedom of expression. This freedom does not give the right to offend,” Maria Martens said.

OK, you’re offending me, Maria Martens, with this kind of nonsense (and I guess I am not the only one…). Set up the punishment for the offense.

“This is madness! Complete and utter insanity. According to Elsevier and Geenstijl (both NL) Geert Wilders has been denied access to the United Kingdom, for fear that his presence may threaten civil disorder and ‘civil harmony’. Wilders was on his way to attend the screening of Fitna in the House of Lords, after the first attempted was thwarted by ‘lord’ Ahmed threatening with a 10,000 strong crowd of islamites in the streets.”
‘Great Britain is sacrificing freedom of speech,’ said Wilders. ‘You would expect something like this to happen in countries like Saudi Arabia but not in Great Britain. This cowardly act by the British government is a disgrace.

via Klein Verzet: Breaking: Wilders not allowed into the UK.

Hmm… what does he expect in country where the police must run for their lifes when “peaceful” protesters shout “run kuffars, run cowards”??

If you want to know more about Geert Wilders’ process, take a look to Defend Geert Wilders. They are focused on his process. The last of their posts quotes him saying:

If convicted, Wilders faces a maximum sentence of two years in prison. Said the defendant: “I lost my freedom already four and a half years ago in October 2004, when my 24-hour police protection started because of threats by Muslims in Holland and abroad to kill me.”

I have heard from Muslims in this country that jihadists around the world have more than insulted traditional Muslim law by their fierce punishments of both non-Muslims and Muslims who have acted in speech or writing against jihadists’ reinterpretations of the Quran. Some of these protesters, exercising freedom of conscience, have been killed for their “blasphemy.”

Hmm, what BAD perspectives we have going down THIS terrible path of fear and absolute idiocy…

UPDATE: From IBA:

This afternoon Mr. Wilders received a letter from the British ambassador to the Netherlands saying that he is a “persona non grata” in the United Kingdom. The ambassador told Mr. Wilders that he is a threat to public security and public harmony because of the controversy created by Fitna (My note: actually the letter is much worse, because it says: “The Secretary of State is of the view that your presence in the UK would pose a genuine, present and sufficiently serious threat to one of the fundamental interests of society. The Secretary of State is satisfied that your statements about Muslims and their beliefs, as expressed in your film Fitna and elsewhere, would threaten community harmony and therefore public security in the UK“). Mr. Wilders intends to go to London anyway.”Let them arrest me in Heathrow,” he says.

UPDATE 2: Read this post from Angel:

Do we understand? This has NOTHING TO DO WITH HARMONY!! This has to do with FEAR to the most violent elements inside the Muslim community
